Who Are We?

The JR Tucker Shoestring Players Booster Club is the parent-run organization dedicated to supporting and promoting the students of the Tucker High School Theatre Arts program through financial and volunteer support. Our goal is to provide opportunities for students to learn important life skills such as discipline, respect for themselves and others, leadership, teamwork, problem solving, communication skills and the importance of commitment, all while growing as performers, technicians and lifelong learners.

We are committed to working collaboratively with parents, faculty, students and the community to meet these goals.

Whether you're a student or a parent, your involvement helps us contribute to the success of
the theatre program ​at JR Tucker.
Our program is completely self-funded, which means we do not receive any funding from Henrico County
​to do all that we do for our students, that's why volunteering is so important.
